Things I did last night trying to fall asleep (5/20/09 12:55 to 7:30 am)

1. Listened to A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson

2. Listened to Sleep Easy by Mary & Richard Maddux

3. Listened to what Mary & Richard Maddux deem “Music to Relax By”

4. Tried and failed to find another sleeping meditation to download

5. Put on jeans, socks, and a sweatshirt

6. Downloaded fourteen podcasts: The Brocery Store, Coffee Break French (times 3), Comedy Central Stand Up: Gabriel Iglesia, Easy French Poetry, France Info – Savoir Etre (times 2), Midwest Teen Sex – Prom, The People You Don’t Know, The Radio Chick, The Ricky Gervais Podcast, Walk Talk and Learn French

7. Ate a bag of Orville Redenbacher’s All Natural Gourmet Popping Corn

8. Watched half of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”

9. Went upstairs very quietly to find the plug for the bathtub

10. Took a bath and read Glamour

11. Listened to A Short History of Nearly Everything again

12. Listened to R’s dad empty the dishwasher

13. Snuck into the other room to find Lirael by Garth Nix on R’s family’s bookshelf. Actually, I was looking for Sabriel, but Lirael was the only one available.

14. Read Lirael while listening to R’s mom and sister get ready for school

15. Watched one minute from the middle of “Juno”

16. Tried to watch “Midwest Teen Sex – Prom.” It was only 19 seconds long, and I can’t tell if that was intentional. All that happened was that a woman said, “Prom was the best night of my life.” Then four seconds later she said, “Just kidding.”

17. Listened to “The Radio Chick (Built Like a Woman) – Chickcast Episode 41 which is one hour long. I learned that Farrah Fawcett is dying of cancer. Wikipedia just taught me that Farrah Fawcett is an American Actress born in 1947.
